Christmas Day: Solid Waste and Recycling Service for Wednesday, Dec. 25, will be provided on Monday, Dec. 23.
New Year’s Day: Solid Waste and Recycling Service for Wednesday, Jan. 1, will be provided on Monday, Dec. 30.
Waste Collection remains unchanged for Dec. 24, and Dec. 31.
Due to high call volumes, residents can expect delays when calling the Waste Management office. The following services can be requested by visiting VB311:
Using VB311, residents now have four service request options:
Virginia Beach residents who receive curbside services may report a missed pick-up of their scheduled bulk/large item, trash can, recycling can, or yard waste.
Visit VB311 or use the VB Works app to report a missed pick-up.
For residents who do not have access to a computer, you may notify and/or request this service by calling (757) 385-4650, or by emailing wastemgt@vbgov.com, or in person.
Virginia Beach residents who receive curbside services may schedule a bulky/large item pickup online using VB311 or the VB Works app.
Requests should be submitted two weeks (or more) prior to your regularly scheduled weekly trash pick-up day. Residents are encouraged to request this service when multiple items have been gathered rather than requesting multiple pickups of single items.

Waste Management Office, 3024 Holland Road
Walk-in: 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; Monday-Friday; closed 12:30-1:30 p.m. for lunch
