
Parking for Individuals with Disabilities
There are designated parking spaces throughout the Resort Area for residents and visitors with disabilities.
Waste Collections to begin at 6 a.m. due to extreme heat. Please have all carts and scheduled items at the curb the night before or by 6 a.m. on your collection day.
The Landfill & Resource Recovery Center will be open on Friday, July 3, and closed on Saturday, July 4, in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Solid waste and recycling remains unchanged for July 3, however the Waste Management administrative offices will be closed. There are designated parking spaces throughout the Resort Area for residents and visitors with disabilities.
To park in disabled parking spaces, a properly displayed sticker, windshield placard, license plate, or other officially issued tag is required. No placard will be honored unless the person to whom the placard is issued is riding in the vehicle.
There are designated spaces in the municipal parking lots and garages. On-street parking is available on Arctic Avenue, Atlantic Avenue, Rudee Loop and on Atlantic Avenue cross streets from 2nd-37th streets.
Any vehicle visibly marked with a disabled parking tag or other form of identification may park at any on-street metered location for FREE for up to four hours. Parking at a metered location beyond four hours are subject to a parking violation citation.
Disabled free parking does not apply to garages or surface lots.
