The City's comprehensive program for addressing rising sea levels and recurrent flooding risks.
All Virginia Beach administrative offices will be closed on Friday, July 4, in observance of the Fourth of July holiday. Fireworks displays are scheduled to take place at Mount Trashmore Park and the Oceanfront at 9:30 p.m. on July 4. Waste and recycling services scheduled for July 4 will take place on Saturday, July 5. A complete list of impacted services and open facilities is available.

The Sea Level Wise Adaptation Strategy, published in March 2020, outlines a proactive, long-term approach to enable the City of Virginia Beach to adapt to these changing environmental conditions.
