Established in 1980, the Virginia Beach Clean Community Commission (VBCCC) is a City Council-appointed advisory group dedicated to building a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable community. Through dynamic programs and outreach, the Commission promotes community beautification, litter prevention, recycling, waste reduction, and the advancement of Zero Waste initiatives.

Across Virginia Beach, the VBCCC delivers engaging presentations and educational resources to school groups and community organizations – empowering each to take action. In partnership with Waste Management and Parks and Recreation, the Commission also creates meaningful volunteer opportunities that connect residents to hands-on efforts that protect our environment and Keep Virginia Beach Beautiful.
