This project widens 1.85 miles of Centerville Turnpike from two to four lanes between Indian River Road and Kempsville Road.
The purpose of this project is to construct a new four‑lane divided highway from Indian River Road to Kempsville Road, improving mobility, safety and overall traffic operations in the Centerville area.
These upgrades will help address current and future congestion on a roadway that already operates over capacity and is projected to see significant growth by 2040.
