Project Status

Current Status & Next Steps

As of May 2024, the project is under construction and is approximately 25% complete. The project construction is expected to be completed in November 2024. This project is funded by Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) 100397.015 and 100353.002.

Purpose of the Project

The pollutant removal benefits will be credited toward the City's requirement for local bacteria total maximum daily load. This project will include the removal of an existing stormwater management facility (SWMF) with ongoing maintenance issues. The new SWMF will replace the existing facility.

How the Project Improves Water Quality

The project will remove an existing dry detention SWMF at the rear of Brooklyn Court and construct a new SWMF within the public right-of-way along Brooklyn Avenue. The facility will consist of a manufactured treatment device to remove stormwater pollutants from the drainage area around Brooklyn Avenue, consisting of approximately 16.60 acres.
